AICCCA Overview:
The Association of Independent Credit Counseling Agencies is a national association of non-profit credit counseling agencies. Members of the AICCCA must be non-profit credit counseling agencies who are properly licensed to business in their state.
Agency Requirements:
Credit counseling agencies who are members of the AICCCA must show proof that consumer funds are kept in a separate FDIC-insured trust account. They must also show accreditation within 12 months of joining the association.
