Question: When Will the Credit Bureau Respond to a Credit Report Dispute
Answer: When you submit a credit report dispute, the credit bureau has up to 45 days from receiving your dispute to conduct and investigation. The credit bureau generally gets 30 days to investigate your dispute, but if you send more information within the 30-day window, the credit bureau gets an additional 15 days, bringing the total to 45. Once the bureau has the results of the investigation, the bureau should notify you of the results within 5 business days.
