I don't know if I could recommend The First Premier Bank Gold MasterCard to even the most desperate credit card shopper. The card is a complete ripoff.
The card has a $75 processing fee the first year, a $75 annual fee from the second year on, and a $300 credit limit. To put it in perspective, you'll only have $225 of available credit left after upfront fees the first year and you won't have even made any purchases. Considering you should only charge 30% of your credit limit to build a good credit score, the First Premier Bank Gold MasterCard leaves you with little room to make charges, until you pay off those fees.
Worst of all, the credit card has a 60% APR! That's 4X higher than the current average credit card APR.
I would almost say this credit card could be an alternative to a secured credit card. But you'd have to play the game to keep from getting ripped off. That means paying that processing fee ASAP, ALWAYS paying your balance in full, NEVER asking for a credit limit increase, NEVER charging more than $100 at a time, and canceling the card as soon as you qualify for something better.
I said "almost." If you do a search for First Premier credit cards you'll find hundreds of complaints from consumers for things like not canceling the account as requested, not sending the physical credit card, and charging undisclosed fees, to name a few. So, even if you have bad credit, stay away from this credit card and it's aliases Centennial Gold and Aventium Gold.

I do agree with this article, However, the bonus of this card- We had a 589, within 6 months we have been moved up to a 670 and we were able to buy a house, a car and now for the past 7 months have been able to get into great companies like Capitol One and citi bank credit cards.
The thing that sucks about this card. Annual increase instead of every 3-5 months of review for an increase, Interest rate is bad, but if your limit isn’t over 400$ then its like $2.50 max charge on interest with your card MAXED out. Or at least that’s what i have been getting. Their customer service is great, they are always trying to help. If you threaten to close at renewal time because of the 75$ fee they will waive it. They have always worked with me even when i did have a job a few years back when i had one without my fiance. and after it went to collections and i paid it off, they retook the account, and reopened it for me without any fees. They charge a lot up front, but $75 for the chance to own your own home, car, and have the security of a card reporting once a month to all 3 bearus is well worth the cost. as far as the aliases I wouldn’t go with them. Another card with fees but that is helping us with our credit is First National Credit Card. Both company’s have been wonderful and never charge weird fees we don’t know about. Its to each their own though
See for yourself or don’t. Your call.
