Question: How long do inquiries stay on my credit report?
Answer: There are two types of credit report inquiries. Hard inquiries show up whenever you make a credit-based application. Soft inquiries are made when you check your credit report or when a business pulls your credit report for promotional purposes.
Both types of inquiries stay on your credit report for two years (you’re the only one who can see soft inquiries) but they only affect your credit for 12 months.
