Starting in August, the post office will cut Saturday mail deliveries to homes and businesses. You'll have to take extra steps to be sure your credit card or loan payments won't be late.
If your due date falls on a Saturday (or even Sunday) you'll need to mail your payments a little earlier to ensure the credit card issuer receives the payment on time. It may require a little extra effort, but it'll help you avoid a late fee. Alternatively, you can make a payment online or by phone with no fee as long as it's in advance of your due date. Your creditor can charge a fee to expedite a payment made on the due date.

Use a bill pay checklist to help track your payment due dates each month. Or pen your bills on a printable calendar (a few months in advance is even better) to help keep track of your due dates.
