Free credit report offers used to be all over the place. They've been hard to find ever since the Fed issued a rule requiring free credit report sites to include a prominent disclosure telling consumers to get real free credit report from AnnualCreditReport.com. Now those same credit reports cost $1 and you still have to cancel a subscription to keep from being charged a monthly credit monitoring subscription.

Fortunately, there are still ways you can get your credit report for free, even if you've already used up your government-granted annual credit reports. Here are Six Ways to Get Your Credit Report Free and only one of them requires a credit card.
