Are you smarter about credit cards than a 5th grader?

Friday July 18, 2008

I don't know about you, but I've read enough about foreclosures, loan delinquencies, and bank failures for one week. How about something funny, but still credit card-related, to close out the week.

I actually laughed until I got teary-eyed at this CreditCards.com article titled, "Are you smarter about credit cards than a 5th grader?" That could be due to an extremely sensitive funny bone.

CreditCards.com columnist Jay MacDonald played Jeff Foxworthy for a day, visited a class of 5th graders, and asked them some credit card questions.

The question "Why do people use credit cards?" got these answers: "It's faster than pulling out a ton of dollar bills" and "so they don't have to always go to the bank to get money."

Well, those tidbits aren't as funny as reading the entire article and I don't know if I can do the article justice without infringing on Jay's copyright, so head over and read it yourself. Are you smarter about credit cards than a 5th grader?. Let me know what you think about it.

HI

I think I am smarter than a 5th grader and I think it is for that person who did not know about the value of money.
