Checking Your Credit Report in the New Year

The start of a new year is a good time to assess your financial life, especially your credit. If you haven't checked your credit report in the past year, now is a good time to do it. Remember, you have a federal right to one free credit report from each credit bureau each year. At the least, you should check your credit report to make sure your identity hasn't been compromised.
