When You Can't Make The Minimum Payment

Making your credit card payments on time each month is important for building a good credit history. It also keeps you from paying extra money to your creditors. Did you know that paying less than the minimum or skipping a month's payment incurs fees and higher interest rates? It does. Of course, missing several payments is worse than missing only one payment. But, you if excuse yourself from a payment once, you're likely to do it again.

If you're experiencing financial difficulty, contact your creditor as soon as possible. Preferably before your payment due date.
